Nidra Into Meditation With Bridgette

Join Bridgette for a deeply relaxing, meditative practice that is open to all levels.
After some very gentle movement, we will use the practice of yoga nidra (a guided meditation done lying down) to help prepare your body and mind for a seated meditation. There will be pranayama (breathing techniques) to draw the senses in and quiet the mind, and visualization that will lead into a quiet, supported seat. In order to bring the experience back into your life, you will learn different mantras (sounds) and mudras (hand gestures) to close the practice with and, of course, a nice savasana.
Yoga nidra is a guided meditation that is equal to 4 or 5 hours of sleep, reduces stress and pain, and connects you to a higher state of consciousness. It is a beautiful way to move into a seated meditation. So many of us struggle with meditation and this just might help you find more ease and stillness on the mat and off.
